                                   CONNECT TYPE ACTIVITIES(CHAPTER 3)
-They prepare learners to apply learning in situations they encounter at work.
-Connect activities are like conjunctions of the learning. They integrate what we are learning with  what we know .
- They are bridge gaps.If the purpose of the activity is to teach sth new then, it is Do /Absorb type activity. But the purpose is to add higher skills to  sth already known then,it is Connect activity.
There are  six  common types of C.A
   - Ponder;often simple one shot experiences without any sequence. If  they involve more than a couple of steps ,they are part of another type activity. They are can integrate with more complex activities.
       Rhetorical questions;
Provoke thouhgts.Not visible response but think deeply-stop and think questions
-Make question personal,
-Trigger learner’s World questions
Combine ponder A. With research A.
    Questioning Activities
Asking and answering questions are inherently Connect A.
Personal curiosity initiates the question.
-Trigger powerful learning process.

   Absorb type activities consist of information.
  -Their learners  are physically passive but mentally active.Active in               -

    -  Learners  absorb some  of knowledge offered by the content.

-They are ideal when learners need a little information.
-They are used to prepare learners for  a  Do activity.

                                     DESIGNING E-LEARNING(CHAPTER1)

-E-Learning is the use of electronic technology to create learning experiences.

-E-learning can be the best  learning possible or the worst . It all depends on design. Creating  effective e-learning requires both design and development. Design is decision, development is construction.
- Design governs what we do , development governs  how we carry out these  decisions.
Design must be aplied at all levels of e-learning from whole curricula down to individual media compenents.
